In line with the simple metaphor of throwing a pebble into water to observe how concentric rings appear around its impact point, the Concentric programme involves collaborative, networked work that pays close attention to the fields of action in which La Capella operates.

The first ring is the Raval neighbourhood, the second is the city of Barcelona, the third is the territory of Catalonia, the fourth is at a national level, and the last is at an international level. Nevertheless, the strongest link in the programme has to do with Barcelona, given that we are aware of our immediate surroundings.

Concentric is similarly defined by a special focus on independent initiatives, proposing an understanding of a Barcelona art centre that is to welcome and extend proposals coming from outside and requiring a contextual reading. La Capella is therefore open to lines of collaboration and affinity with independent proposals that can find in the centre a space for financial, logistical and human support. Similarly, Concentric is also open to collaboration dynamics with other institutions and artistic spaces in the city, as well as other related contexts, such as the Loop Festival or Science Biennial.

Its programme is based on presenting artistic works, conferences, debates and workshops that usually take place in Espai Finestres, the small relational auditorium space that can be found on the first floor of La Capella. Concentric also gives rise to short-term exhibition rehearsals that are accommodated in its additional spaces, such as Espai Vestíbul (immediately upon entering the centre) or Espai Oficina, the former office of La Capella now converted into a small exhibition gallery.
