La Capella is the space that the Culture Institute of Barcelona devotes to emerging creation. In recent years, its work has focused on staging exhibitions with the aim of bringing to the public the most innovative proposals by the city’s artists. The central project in La Capella’s programme at the moment is Barcelona Producció, which was set up in 2006. Its aim is to foster the participation of artists and professionals in the sector, selected by an independent jury on the basis of public calls.
